A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the same domain, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you run some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited emails, you can combine the catch-all feature with email filters so as to receive only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Creating a catch-all mailbox will be extremely easy in case you’ve got a Linux cloud hosting with our company. You can activate this feature through our advanced, albeit simple-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage the hosting account itself. You will see all the email addresses that you’ve created listed in alphabetical order and on the right side of each one there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately reveal to you if a specific mailbox stores all the emails for a certain domain name or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature at any moment. In case there is active email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you’ll receive a warning notice from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be configured with several clicks of the mouse if you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be managed via our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up email addresses under any domain registered there. To enable the catch-all feature for a given mailbox, you’ll have to click on the icon with the exact same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Disabling this option can be accomplished in the exact same manner and will not require more than a click either. If the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a particular domain, you’ll receive a warning message. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never deactivate or edit any feature automatically.
